weekend report

I was so thankful for this past week and weekend!  We had a blast together as a staff, away for a couple of days talking strategically as well as worshipping and goofing around!

And then we got to be part of the weekend as we worshipped together and soaked up the next teaching in the Doubting Doubts series.  It's so good - I was re-listening to the past 3 messages today while I tried to get caught up at home.  I was thankful our messages can be accessed at any time through our website or APP and on the Christian radio.

Here are a couple of the shots I took of our ministry this weekend!

Our communion team is such a blessing!

weekend report

Well I thought I had seen it all, and then Pastor Dave took the stage...

It was a blast this past weekend at Crossroads!  I don't think we could have fit another element into our services!  And each element was amazing!

From the recognition of our Veterans by Nicole Blakely, a retired Veteran herself, to a rap by our lead pastor - Dr. Dave Vance, to beautiful worship and the privilege of praying for a hard-working missionary!  So very good to be at Crossroads this past weekend!

We gave out EVERY SINGLE new visitors packet again this weekend and are scrambling to keep up with serving all our new attendees!  God is good, so very good!

As we prepare for Thanksgiving his week, I am completely aware of how very, very many things I have to be grateful for and I cannot silence my words of thanksgiving to my Lord!!!

Here is a glimpse at some of the things from this past weekend at Crossroads.

Yes it's true, our pastor is a rapper!

It's Undeniable!   He brought it!

weekend report

It was another great weekend to be at Crossroads!  Pastor Jesse delivered a great message that encouraged all of us to PRAY!  The worship team lead us strongly and we left saying yet again, "It was so good to be in the House of the Lord!"

Don't forget to be with us next weekend as we celebrate our 20 year anniversary at Crossroads!

Here's a couple shots of the service this weekend.

weekend report

Man, where has this week gone??

We're already in week 2 of the Ecclesiastes series, and it is SO good!   I think we may have come close to a record number of people requesting a CD of the message - I'm so thankful for the amazing teacher we have in Pastor Dave.

As I left the auditorium today, I heard music so I went to see were it was coming from.

There I found beautiful worship in the Student Ministry area of the church and was moved to a deep thankfulness for all the faithful people that work to serve our kids and to teach them what worship is!

Student Ministry worship - so good!

After I left the Student Ministry area I still heard loud music that I did not recognize and discovered more precious worship in our Elementary room!  Oh my word - I was so excited to see this!

Amy will be leaving soon to begin her masters degree - thanks
for serving Amy!

The video booth is always a super focused area - bringing us lyrics and
all of Pastor Dave's fill ins and scripture as well as every video you see come from this booth!

weekend report

One thing about Crossroads Community Church that no one can argue about is that things constantly change!  And I LOVE change - I love new challenges and opportunities to 'figure out' how to make something new work!  And this weekend was no exception - a new addition!

Crossroads welcomed the Taylor family to our ministry this weekend - and what a blessing they are going to be to us!  Their love for the Lord is evident from the moment you speak to them - and nothing encourages me more then to see a family that worships together, serves together and values 'the church' equalling.  Although there are certainly exceptions to this, it just helps you to be 'fully in' when your family stands with you unified in the calling!

Doug will serve as our Communities Discipleship Pastor.  We're dedicated to a commitment to really provide our congregation with opportunities to do life in a smaller community or class setting, to grow in the Lord together and to become a tight-knit community in the Him!

Our worship was great as always and it warmed my heart to see several of the young adults on stage that our senior worship leaders have poured in to,  giving them opportunity to lead!  We have a fabulous praise team and one of the things that make it that way is the multiple generations on stage together. We believe if our goal isn't to mentor and raise up the next generations - then our leadership has failed!  It takes a commitment to welcome and support all generations using all of their various life-experience, spiritual maturity and musical ability mixed together to give glory to our Lord!  Very exciting!

Worshipping and leading our congregation so well!

weekend report

Weekends come and weekends go...so very fast.

After doing this for the past 19 years, I feel more dedicated then ever to the preciousness of this opportunity weekly!   We pray weekly that our collective work as a staff is used of the Lord to move people toward Him - EVER SINGLE WEEK.

This weekend was no exception - careful planning happened from the tiniest children's area to the most mature adult, we care for everyone so much!

Our praise team always works hard and I figured this weekend service in the main auditorium alone we collectively invested 120+ from the staff (that doesn't count the organizing of video stories etc.), and you figure every praise team member spent time rehearsing and memorizing music there were 6 volunteers on stage and that many behind the scenes technically to allow the service to happen.  I sing our volunteer's praises constantly as we work and play as if we're family - caring for one another and becoming closer each time we get to serve together!  What a privilege to be part of this!

weekend report

I am WAY behind this week - my week took a huge U-turn and I'm still trying to get my bearings - but, that story is for another day!

We had a great time in worship and celebrated God's goodness as we began our OVERWHELMED series.

We always enjoy our brass weekends and this weekend was no exception!   I continue after nearly 20 years to be amazed at the level of excellence in our weekend services.  Our staff and volunteers alike take it very personally as an opportunity to  use they gifts and talents to honor the Lord!

Here's a few photos!

weekend report

I think it would have been humanly impossible to add another element to this past weekend at Crossroads!  It took an army to accomplish everything - and we have AMAZING volunteers on our teams that did a spectacular job!

Pastor Dave finished our Final Destination series and we enjoyed a children's opening song - Child Dedication and baptism all in one service.  It was an extraordinary example of life change and spiritual maturity steps being taken by our congregation.  So good!!

Great weekend of worship!
