weekend report

I loved this weekend so much!  The Reluctant Followers Series ended today - it has been a fabulous series and this weekend's teaching on Prayer was not an exception!  If you missed it I encourage you to watch it - such rich worship and it was so good to gain a greater understanding of what God intended our prayer life to be.

Our choir and praise band lead us straight to the thrown of God in worship!

I got to personally talk to 5 people visiting for the first time this weekend - these conversations keep me encouraged and it just drives me more to see what new ideas and creative elements the Lord will point us to that will help us tell redemptions miraculous story!  I also had the privilege of talking to a sister in Christ who just got devastating medical news, I hope I was of some encouragement to her!  What an honor to minister to our congregation!

It's been another weekend of witnessing God's mighty hand at work as He gathers us together to proclaim His message to a hurting world!

Have a blessed week!

weekend report

As we prepare for Christmas weekend there was no cut-back in preparations for this weekend's services!

Milo lead us in a great time of celebration as we sang Christmas songs and then as Pastor Dave taught us things we've never considered before and we all saw Christmas in a whole new light...messy!

Here are a couple of shots from the weekend:

Shawn, Michael and Streeter took Drummer Boy to a whole new level!

weekend report

We had yet another amazing weekend!

This weekend I walked around all the areas of Crossroads during one of our services.  I was completely overwhelmed as I saw worship happening in each room of Crossroads!

Here is the look of worship...

Our main auditorium was full of people fully engaged in worshipping the Lord!

The student worship was so great - I left the room worshipping myself!

The students room was set up for 100 and they were adding chairs when I came in!
Talk about praise!

Another form of worship is using your technical talents to serve!

This was worship in the 4 & 5th grade room!

Worship in the form of technically serving!

Worship in the elementary room!

And a young Pastor, Aaron worshipping God with his words of teaching!

weekend report

This has been quite the week - daughter moving - babysitting grandkids, and I've never been more thankful for all the amazing opportunities I continue to have being close to our children and grandchildren!!!

But I must say, in the middle of personal crazy schedules, this past weekend was AMAZING!!

We heard one of the best messages on community that I remember ever hearing and our congregation stepped up!  And it's been interesting that in my reading this week I've come across several sections that talk about our design not to do life alone, it's amazing how God points out so many things to support what's been taught on the weekend!

And our worship was absolutely fantastic!   A lady came to me after one of the services in tears just talking about how much it meant to her - I'm so thankful for our teams!  She wanted to talk to Jocelyn, our leader this weekend.  Cool opportunities!

Here are some shots of the weekend.

Announcements:  Claire is our Communications Coordinator and
does a great job on the announcements.

Jocelyn sang Hands of God to beautifully support what Pastor Dave taught on community

Pastor Dave demonstrated what community was not -
not an inward focus on you.

Instead community is on outward surrounding of the people you
are in community with - surrounding you with protection and care!

weekend report

It was a ministry full of worship this morning at Crossroads!  As I finished worshipping and walked out of the auditorium - i heard singing in other parts of the ministry and decided to check it out.

It was  a weekend full of worship - faithful Doug Wolfe encouraging the elementary kids to sing to Jesus and wonderful summer worship interns leading in Student Ministry  - a packed membership class made me so thankful to be a small part of it all!  Praises lifted to our Savior!

On top of everything else going on everyone is talking about the launch of our new young adult ministry next Sunday night - the Lord is blessing!

And then Pastor Dave launched our new Mission Statement and Core Values...so exiting to begin serving under this call to action!  It was good to be in the house of the Lord!

Our new Core Values!

The staff got to worship today thanks to our Cedarville University Interns!

Membership Class was so packed I couldn't get everyone in the picture!

weekend report

Man, I feel like it's already Wednesday we've had so much packed into the weekend!

It was another God-filled weekend at Crossroads!  I will never cease to be amazed at the diversity of talent and gifted teaching we get to grow under each weekend!

We were lead by one of our praise teams this weekend who spends most of their time leading the Students on Wednesday nights - but, will also take on the responsibility once each month of leading worship at our newest ministry - the new Young Adult Ministry at Crossroads that launches June 14th!

Worship happens all around the ministry on the weekend - here

It was a weekend with unbelievably powerful worship, a tremendously important challenge from Pastor Dave, a commissioning prayer for our graduating seniors and the launch of new things...

So honored to be a part of Crossroads!

weekend report

This weekend is a milestone in Crossroads history as our 2nd Pastor, Dave Vance and his family join us to begin Chapter 2 of Crossroads!  You can feel the excitement in the air - last night sitting up front it almost seemed I could feel the Holy Spirit sweep through this place - the experience of opening our hearts to a new pastor has been very emotional - and the more I get to know him the more the Lord confirms this is the man our pulpit needs.

As we sang The Stand - I've NEVER in the history of Crossroad seen more hands raised high in the air to our Lord.  Just one more action of submission as we all surrender any desire that may be our own agenda to fully embrace the Lord's leading under Pastor Dave.

Thank you Crossroads for continued faithfulness during this time of transition.

Our Setlist:
Angie Mahek, one of House Church pastor's wives and praise team member, is my hero for stepping in to do the announcements last minute when the announcement guy was not available to do them.  Thanks Angie!

weekend report

These pictures of our amazing choir and praise team kneeling to pray before the services began this weekend, say it all!   When you see 30 people take a knee for prayer - you know that something special is about to happen!!  We are blessed beyond compare!  And our teams were ready when you arrived this weekend!

It was just one of those weekends - you knew everyone on stage and in the tech areas were there to serve, and the result - we worshipped - OH how we worshipped!

weekend report

A beautiful moment of worship
Crossroads is moving through some mighty big changes right now, but the weekend was full of hope and a message from the Lord for all of us delivered by Brian Boone, our new Interim Pastor.

I can't believe how quickly the Lord moved to bring Pastor Brian to us!  It's shameful to ever find myself sitting in doubt or anxiousness when I claim the name of Christ!  He always provides what the church needs, and He already knows exactly who comes next.  This allows me to fully concentrate on my tasks and caring for the flock instead of dwelling on anxious worries- if I let it!

Pastor Brian leading us
This weekend the church raised its voice to a fevered pitch, someone described as 'revival-ish', could it be that a great moving of God's people is beginning to happen at Crossroads?  Does it take the removal of our beloved Pastor Tim for us to put our eyes and prayers fully in the Lord instead of relying on Pastor Tim's abilities?   I don't know how God will chose to move and change us, all I know is the people of Crossroads seem open and willing to let God work, and ready to place their trust fully in Him!

We had a great weekend of worship and teaching - I am so proud of our amazing volunteer teams who step up and serve weekend after weekend - working a full-time job during the week…amazing!
