where do you worship

Following a night at Crossroads Church, where I got to be part of  a Christmas production we pray brought glory to our Savior, I stood at my kitchen window worshipping Him this morning.

I just looked at the post on Facebook by a photographer who photographed individual snowflakes showing design perfection at the highest level I've ever witnessed.  As I looked across my yard full of melting snow - I was nearly overwhelmed with awe picturing every - single - snowflake being so meticulously designed.

I then fixed a cup of coffee next to the window and saw just seconds after I had filled empty bird feeders - swarms of birds returning for a morning feeding.

How do they know I just put this out when moments ago there was no hint of a bird in any of the trees surrounding the feeders?

I stood and worshipped Him!  Our meticulous designer - creator!

If He cares enough to invest His time designing EVERY SINGLE snow flake and instilling survival instincts in EVERY SINGLE specie of bird, how much more does a our God desire to shape and use our lives?

So, where do you worship?   Have you experienced worship?

This Christmas accept the ultimate gift God offers, Himself...

This brings a peace that is impossible to understand, no matter what circumstance you find yourself in. Because when you're in relationship with the God of the Universe, you understand that He also designed you exactly the way you are, and is just waiting until you surrender completely - to use your life the way He designed you to be used.  For the exact purpose only your life can fulfill in this amazing, endless, meticulously designed world!

If you want to know more about the Peace only He can offer you, please join us for one of our remaining Christmas at Crossroads services

Tonight at 7:00
Tomorrow and Tuesday at 5:00 and 7:00.

May God reveal Himself this Christmas to you in the simplest of things...and worship Him!

my family

Lunch with our son before his band was off to play again, was a blessing that comes less and less often these days. We treasure any time we get to be with him! And, he LOVES his grandparents, so we somehow got everyone together for a last minute early-afternoon lunch today! So fun!!

We enjoyed the rest of our afternoon and then later another great thing happened...

My husband cooked me dinner and served it on the deck overlooking his newly mowed lawn...possibly my favorite place in the world! Not too many more evenings to sit outside! It is a blessed evening when you can sit with someone you love and enjoy the great taste of a meal full of the offerings of summer, and also take in the beauty not only of nature but of peace.

I drink deeply of this peace when it comes.

All week we have gotten calls of friends' lost loved ones to illness, lost relationships and wayward children. When peace comes we value it highly and thank our God for the moments...

a taste of heaven for sure! Enjoy one another on this long Labor Day weekend!

what I learned today

I want peace! Peace and quiet, peace between my Christian brothers and sisters, peace within the church, peace from guilt! Impossible...maybe, maybe not.

So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.

Romans 14:19

Those without Christ seek peace from their outer circumstances. Peace will never come. They hope for a leader that can bring peace, they long for peace among their family and friends. Wouldn't we all be happier with world peace and conflict free circumstances? Peace of course is impossible in this imperfect world, impossible for a non-believer.

Peace for the believer is very different. A believer has peace in their heart, the Holy Spirit trains the mind to think differently then when they were lost. A believer's behavior should show that they are different, and that they truly believe that all things will work together for good to those that know the Lord! Our God does not remove difficult circumstances, He won't because we learn too much from difficulties. Instead He brings peace even in the midst of difficult non-peaceful circumstances. Peace is one of the things that sets a believer apart, one of the things that speak to a non-believer who wants peace in his life so desperately!

Can you trust the Lord with all your circumstances? I learned today, I must trust Him completely and the end result will be peace...no matter what goes on around me!
