2 weekend favorite things

I always have a couple favorite things from each weekend at Crossroads.

This weekend I LOVED the youth being up front leading us as well as the beginning of what I think will be one of our congregation's favorite series "Gray", Pastor Tim will unwrap I Corinthians and explain the freedom's we have in Christ.

Beyond those two things I loved these: The House Church Tower represents a new era at Crossroads as we begin to organize 5 new House Churches to launch this year!

The chocolate goodies...well they are just my favorite - no explanation needed!

worship at camp

A year ago no one sang at Crossroads Junior High Camp. No matter how hard the worship leaders sang the kids didn't.

Things were different this year. Some very talented, dedicated young worship leaders emerged this year to work side by side with our main worship leaders expanding our times of worship into our youth areas.

As a result of their dedicated work the kids knew how to worship this year. They understood it and didn't have to be prodded to join in, they didn't worry about what their friends would say. What a difference a year makes!

I was so thankful that I went to worship with them tonight.

always something new

A new era has truly begun at Crossroads. I've been talking about the fact that our worship staff is going to begin intensely mentoring and developing the next generation of worship leaders at Crossroads. It began officially tonight!

Dan our senior worship guy described his feelings prior to going into the youth area to both teach on worship tonight and lead our youth. He looked at me and said, "Why have we not done this before, I am so excited!"

Crossroads has adopted a view for the first time in a long time of all being on one big team! Dan is pictured here practicing prior to the service with two of the youth worship team members. How cool!

Meanwhile on the main stage we had some of our youngest musicians on the team. I love our ministry, and I love when the generations all come together! These are new - very intentional beginnings and I am so thankful to be a part of it! God is good and the ministry is becoming more mature - and I love this new era!
