So.....

Crossroads was hopping this weekend and so filled with the Holy Spirit I can hardly describe it!

It is possible to teach on super difficult subjects while carefully proclaiming that any sin can be forgiven by the God who created the universe.   The ache He must feel as He watches His creation make terribly decisions and then suffer under the guilt and regret the decisions bring...And still He loves us, forgives us and calls us His own...amazing.

It's always so surprising the positive feedback we receive on the weekends that we struggle the most!  We can be totally discouraged and already planning ahead for how to improve next time - and God moves despite us!  That describes this weekend.  New series, all new pre-service slides, new playlist, new stage design pieces added, new video advertising - everything new with a less than satisfactory execution in our opinion - still our work was used by God!  So thankful that His ability to change lives doesn't rest on our shoulders!

This Thanksgiving week is packed to the gills with things to accomplish and ending with Black Friday...so little time.   We had a great reminder this weekend that it takes preparation to be Thankful - so as I go into my week I plan to build in thankful time!

It was another blessed weekend designed to help us all prepare for Thanksgiving and all the countless things we have to be thankful for!

Welcome and Announcements began our service with Jamie (the middle school guy) inviting us all to stop by The Coffee House on Black Friday!  Pastor Tim wrapped up the announcements by reminding everyone what an opportunity we have to serve a needy child by participating in our annual Adopt A Child project.  Click here for announcements

O my goodness...so good to be in the house of the Lord worshiping! The team was focused, well practiced and completely ready to forget about the notes, the words and just lead worship. Their preparation paid off and they lead us seamlessly into the message, and I do mean INTO the message. The words were thematic and Pastor Tim took it from there and God spoke through his mouth loud and clear! So good...so thankful to part of these teams!

Tough, tough subject but God honored Pastor Tim's commitment to honestly proclaim God's Word!

We continued our "Answers" series this weekend with a teaching based on the congregations submitted questions. Tim received several questions regarding homosexuality and decided it was time to teach on the difficult subject. Clarifying what the Word says as well as clearly stating where our ministry stands in regard to this issue. It is easy to teach on things the 'tickle' people's ears, but, when tough questions come, it takes clear - honest teaching and that is what we heard this weekend!
