what a week and weekend

We've been moving at hyper speed this past week going into this week before Easter!

Our ministry enjoyed everything from an amazing re-done Student Ministry room to video after video being shot for Easter and the weeks that follow, to life-change celebrated in baptism!  And we have Ernesto back where he belongs too!  So good!

Take a look here!

Ernesto leading us to the throne!

Not sure I love my hubby more than when he baptizes fellow
believers!

As I worked all day Sunday in the back alone
(my glorious happy place!), I listened to the beautiful
music of Easter and prayed over our services!

In the middle of the Easter chaos - our tech guys working with Pastor Mike, mister Greg
and special volunteers - the students rooms was completely re-done!
I love our praise team!

Our talented team lead us well in worship!
Our Tech teams are tucked away either at the back of our
auditorium or in the Video Directing room.  NOTHING
up-front could take place without their dedicated work!

This was just 1 of maybe 5 video shoots that took place this week!

Our setlist:
Announcements on Video
10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)
Baptism during the song Testimony
Broken Vessels (Amazing Grace)
The War is Over

Message: Into Your Hands I Commend My Spirit - Pastor Jesse Rider

Exit Song: 10,000 Reasons

weekend reports

My schedule has been crazy!   I haven't blogged for so long I was afraid the account was closed down!

Playing catch up by posting 3 weekends at once!

3 weekends ago it was a very special weekend as we prayed over a huge number of students as they prepared to leave on their missions trip to Louisville.  It was extremely moving as we saw the stage filled with students taking steps to draw closer to their Savior as they served.

Pastor Dave prayed over our kids!

Pastor Dave continuing our Origins series  - so good!

Two weekends ago our Young Adult band lead us in worship.  I love all of our worship teams, but I find this team so encouraging as I see the generations below us rising up as they lift their lives,  their voices and their giftedness to the Lord!

Our Young Adults not only lead us in worship, but served in our tech areas as well - we started with prayer.

This last weekend the team lead us as we learned about the importance as Baptism!  We worshipped, learned from God's Word and people made decisions to take next steps in baptism!  Very exciting!

I just wanted to catch up a little on what's been going on at Crossroads, and this just scratches the surface!

weekend report

Father's Day was hopping at Crossroads with Bacon Fest!

I'm pretty sure bacon may be the universal language of men based on their reaction!  Each guy got a couple slices of bacon as they entered the services this weekend.  The smell dominated the ministry!  Even our talented children's ministry supported the bacon fest with their little 'skillet' activities!

Pastor Dave returned from vacation and launched the new series "Origins" - it's going to be a great series as we study the importance of scripture and learn together!

Here are some more shots from the weekend.

For 20 years I've been watching this guy prepare for the weekends!
Happy Father's Day Dan!

It was a special Father's Day for Shawn our bassist
as he gave his son a hug on stage as they served together!

And Shawn's hugs continued with the bacon!

We're thankful for an excellent intern Isaac, as he
served in the student ministry this weekend running tech.

Our students are becoming excellent musicians and leaders as Jocelyn and Milo work to help them gain valuable experience serving back in the Student Ministry areas.
I didn't get a very good shot of our team this weekend as we worshipped!

And another series began - very thankful!

weekend report

It was an amazing weekend at Crossroads Community Church! Students and Student Ministry staff and volunteers, took over everything possible at Crossroads!

It was so satisfying to watch multiple generations work together to express their love for the Lord as they worked very hard to do their best! The areas in which student or Student Ministry staff served included: worship team; technical team; some of the greeters; and other behind the scene areas such as our children's areas.

With Pastor Dave away in Cambodia - our Young Adult Pastor, Aaron Nicolas continued our Conspiracy Series by teaching us about Creativity with Excellence. It was a fascinating study and sent us all away with a better understanding of just what that means. We don't have to be what people would call 'a creative', rather we need to present everything we do with excellence to the Lord THE Creator! Creative Excellence to the best of our ability has always been one of our main values at Crossroads!
Voices lifted to the Lord - Dan is our senior worship leader.
This weekend was extra special with his granddaughter singing behind him.
Eric is our Senior High Pastor - he lead strong!

Nick and Austin - seriously talented guitarists!

2 more great voices! The future looks good at Crossroads!

Running camera is serious business, we
had people watching our live feed clear
over in Cambodia!

The Stuckey brothers!

Rehearsal was fun! (Have I mentioned how much I love our students!?)

1 of 3 of our camera operators!

The girls at rehearsal!

Pastor Aaron Nicolas, our Young Adult Pastor!

Blueberry is extremely talented at Directing our Video production!

Dillon ran our CG which brings up all the lyrics and
the Pastor's slides - takes a ton of concentration!

Another great camera guy!

We have so much to be thankful for - I loved this weekend so much!
