again today

Of course there was reason today to eat more - leftovers!  So back we went to Grandma Gatton's to chow down even more calories!

It was a lovely day, sleeping in, casually strolling through some stores wanting nothing except to be out and then to eat…and eat…until nothing was left.

Here are the rest of our pictures full of love and food!

left overs...that's what it is

The picture I put up on my last post was a picture of leftover pie crust dough that we make into cookies. Yeah I know, not good for us but tastes amazing with a little sugar and cinnamon!

As I decided whether to bother making them or just to toss them into the wastebasket, it made me think of all the leftovers there are in my life. Some come out of the excess of too much, some are left over because they just weren't good to begin with. Food of course is the most often thing the word leftover is associated with, but what about the rest of my life?

After thinking about this I came to the conclusion I should have MORE leftovers than I do. I want to have leftover time, leftover resources and leftover kindness...instead I find myself spent in every way quite often.

I wrote this first thing today, so I can keep this mindset throughout my day off. Leave a little at the end of each day...who knows what opportunity may come if I purposefully allow just a little leftover time today! May God bless your day!!
