cannot wait to gather
I am so looking forward to being back at Crossroads in just a couple of hours! We have great things planned, things that we will lay at God's feet as our worship to Him. Things that we have spent the last couple weeks working on, preparing to honor Him. Things that we pray will prepare people's hearts to receive His message. What a privilege - we are truly blessed! I hope you can join us this weekend!

weekend report
I know, I know, I always say the same thing, but, I am telling you God was in the house!
I received countless comments on the worship and on the most amazing teaching series about Contentment ever! I even got a phone call this afternoon about how much people loved it and were so thankful for all our team's hard work. I don't say these things to pat myself on the back, I could plan from now to eternity, but our Technical and Worship teams work so hard, and are so great I have to brag about THEM! It all came together and I think God was pleased!
We opened the final weekend on Contentment with what else...
Don't Worry Be Happy!
announcements
For Who You Are

weekend report
Well, I survived one of the craziest weekends in a long time!
I am so crazy patriotic that I was really excited about the opportunity to honor our Veterans. So, we began our service with LeeAnn Rimes vers
ion of "God Bless America" during which we ran a picture collage of our own Crossroads Veterans! People loved it.
Next Dan one of our worship leaders, transitioned us into worship. Can I just take the time to say how much I value both Dan and Milo, our two worship leaders. They are such a blessing to serve with. Dan and I have actually worked together at two churches. I was on the vocal team and played
keyboards at a Lexington Church with Dan for about 3 years before Dan headed to Crossroads. I later joined him in 1996 and the rest if history!
Hannah, pictured on the left was the newest member on the praise team this weekend! Welcome Hannah nice job this weekend!

Jon Pierce, pictured on the left of Dan is our IT genius! I get to share him with IT to use his talents in the Tech Dept part of each week. This weekend Jon called all the cues and helped with all the Tech details, man, was he busy!!
As worship came to an end we transitioned into our thematic portion of the service with the drama "Problem of Perspective" featuring two of our newest actors, Stephanie and Jeff. The cast was rounded out with Doug playing the psychiatrist (Doug pictured with coffee). People la
ughed and lau
ghed as they portrayed each spouses spin on the same conversation. It was fun to see how differently husband and wives perceive the same situation. Job well done!
Next, Pastor Tim delivered a home run message full of great illustrations and of course marriage jokes; He finished by teaching us guidelines for successful marriages from God's Word.
We had to add extra chairs and ended up with almost 2,500 people for the weekend! Wow, everyone's hard work really paid off! God was so good!! Our current weekend services will be up on the web by Monday evening at www.crossroadswired.com

weekend report
This weekend went very well as we launched the new "One Month To Live" series. Attendance was up and there was an air of excitement as the brass began with a rousing version of "Higher Love". Things ramped from there with the next 4 praise songs.
Pastor Tim then took the stage and had everyone in stitches with his near death experience story. He transitioned us into the Saddleback drama "To Pass The Time" done on video. (You can watch it by clicking on the link in one of my previous blog entries "sneak peek"). That seamlessly transitioned into the song "The Light of Eternity" performed by Cody Roland. It was amazing!
This weekend was such a great combination of creative elements, high praise and worship and a message the world needs to hear! You can watch video of the services on Monday at www.crossroadswired.com.
We have our actual set list on Fred McKinnon's site. Go check it out!
