weekend report

It's been a busy, amazing, growing, unbelievably worshipful 2 weeks at Crossroads!

Last week we celebrated Pastor Dave's birthday with our amazing choir and this weekend we added a beautiful cello to the team!

I'm thankful every single weekend as I participate in worship with my friends and brothers and sisters in the Lord at Crossroads...so thankful.

These pictures give just a glimpse into the privilege we have to gather each weekend together to express love to the Lord!

Take a peak!

weekend report

Jesse Rider, one of our Student Ministry pastor continued our ERASED series this weekend and did a great job!

We worshipped and it was so good to be in the House of the Lord!

Jay talked to us about how he prepares when he's on the team - searching
scripture that the songs are based on and also reflected back on  the last conversation
he had with his dad before he passed away.  A great moment in worship.
There is never just the services going on in the ministry, behind the scenes there's always preparations happening for the 'next things', classes and tons of fellowship.

One of those things was the final video shoot for our Easter services, I can't wait to see it edited to see if our talented video guys were able to capture what we were trying to create!

Shooting for Easter!

weekend report

Pastor Dave returned this weekend after visiting 2 of our international mission partners and from a brief bout of flu - to continue our Conspiracy Series.   So good to have him and out mission teams back safely!  It was a great weekend of worship and learning from God's Word!
A team from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University lead out Students in worship back in their area of the ministry.  I love connecting with other Christian schools and ministries to allow our students to have exposure to a possible college they may consider for their education.  Great work Student Ministry staff!

weekend report

Our pastor has been away for the past 2 weekends and we miss him, but the Lord has been so faithful and last weekend Pastor Dave's series in Nehemiah continued from him via video, and this weekend one or our Student Ministry Pastor's taught us from God's Word.  Jesse did a great job and we worshipped and spent time together as 'the church'...

I just love it when even the camera guys can't contain their worship!

Our blessings continued this evening as 'the church' was manifested
in friendships and through the blessing of relationships -- as God intended.

weekend report

What a blessing to have a Youth Guy that can preach, really preach! It was so much fun working with Jesse Rider this weekend to prepare the weekend services. And he delivered big time!

Jesse taught from James and reminded all of us the importance of every word that we speak!

We began our service as we honored the servicemen who so bravely gave their lives to defend our country with a video tribute, to begin our service!

Announcements: complete with a live feed from our Town Square area

Mighty King of Love
Everlasting God
Scripture Reading: James 1:19 - 26 Grandmother and Granddaughter
Filled With Glory

Message: Communication

Video: We shot a "man on the street" video in our Town Square asking people various 'age related' questions ie. do you know what Twitter is, Facebook, an Icebox, a Davenport... you get the idea. This video helped establish how different words are known to different generations and how that affects communication.

Message continues: Communication

Closing Special: In The Living Years with James 1 video

Closing Prayer
