a new day

I couldn't sleep so I got up to write.

This blank page is much like the day that lays before me.

Will I fill it well?  Or will it be wasted with nothing much to say?

The fact that I woke up proves that God has something left for me to do.

I'm beginning the day with obedience by being in His Word and admitting I need Him.

That's what He asks simply, Abide In Me.

Abide in me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.  I am the vine, you are the branches.  Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
