We...Hi Dorothy!

Sounds like we are kindred spirits! Well I guess we are related through the Lord!

I have received more feedback on this writing than any other I've ever done. The interesting thing is the comments aren't being published on the blog, they are coming privately to me on email.

God is doing a work, not sure yet where it's leading, but, I'm very blessed by your comments, thank you!

Your sister in Christ...LoriLori Biddlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07844451771995920714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5471772149429813090.post-52445014585345781782009-03-18T08:57:00.000-04:002009-03-18T08:57:00.000-04:00Lori,I am sooo excited for you. I’ve been on this ...Lori,
I am sooo excited for you. I’ve been on this journey a while and it is AMAZING!
First to respond to your “He woke me up” post. My wake up call was two years ago. I was hearing from God, in all sorts of ways to “be still and know that I AM…” I heard Him, but I wasn’t truly listening…
I don’t share this next part often, because people don’t usually get it-but at that point He allowed me to break my ankle! SMACK DOWN! After surgery, I had eight weeks, when I had absolutely nothing to do but listen to who HE IS.
I watched as He crumbled down everything that I thought I knew and have watched as He has taken me on a new, far more exciting (but painful) journey…
To answer the question “if I only had a short time to live would I live differently”? Absolutely not! Except for the proverbial “spend more time with my family”.
Fill those journals up girl. Then watch as He reveals to you how mighty He is. Watch how He brings everything into play. Things we heard wrong. Even those willful choices we made. He is able to craft every single experience into His chosen path for us.
I love that line you shared “God takes us places we never intended to go. Those are places where He will reveal Himself to us in ways we didn't even know He existed. One reason He takes us to places we've never been is to show us He's NOT LIKE ANYONE ELSE." I often muse that I don’t know why He chose me to serve in this capacity, but I just hang on and go for the ride…
Though there are frustrations-I am in awe of where God is leading me at this point in my life. But, it is the most exciting journey I have ever been on. It often brings me to tears to think He wants to shape me for His vision for my life. I was posting yesterday, trying yet again to explain how when I am in His will, He explodes in my brain!
My friends are beginning to see it. They have seen movements when God pops an idea in my head. My eyes widen, an audible “ah” escapes from my lips and they watch as I scramble to find a way to interpret and record what I “see”.
I am very interested in hearing more about your journey…Perky Gramma Teacheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10819400478284621215noreply@blogger.com
